Wow this very intense to read. You did a great job describing each and every reaction of the characters it makes you feel like it´s really happening in front of you instead of just watching it.
Also the way Jero talks after the incident, his short neutral sentences really show how disconneted he must feel. I feel really sorry for him now, to be forced to discover one´s brutal side when really you are a peaceful creature must be scary.
